John Mayer is funny! You should read his regular column in Esquire. Definitely dry wit going on there. I think his music is actually pretty good, but I know what you mean. From a technical point of view: he's untouchable. From a re-playability point of view: not so much. :)
Speaking of which if anyone can track down his appearance with Double Trouble on Austin City Limits I'd be super-grateful.
